Information we collect
The EasyFishIQ applications may collect and store fishing session data you enter (locations, catches, photos, gear and bait details), device identifiers needed for app functionality, and usage data to improve reliability. Location data is used only when you grant permission, typically for fishing weather, maps, GPS fishing locations, and related features.
Permissions
Depending on platform and features you enable, EasyFishIQ may request: Location Permission (and Background Location if you enable continuous location-based features), Camera Permission, Photo Library / media access, Bluetooth Permission (for compatible accessories and Apple Watch connectivity on iOS), Notification Permission, and Storage Permission on Android for files and backups. You can revoke permissions in system settings.
How we use information
We use your information to provide app features, synchronise data across your devices via platform cloud services when enabled (for example iCloud on Apple devices and equivalent cloud services on Android), deliver fishing weather and fish activity forecasts, send optional notifications (including via Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android where used), and respond to support requests.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and, when available, by Google through Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Stores may share limited purchase information with us for subscription validation.
Data sharing and services
We do not sell your personal data. Data may be shared with service providers who help us operate the app (such as weather data providers, Google Play Services, and Firebase Cloud Messaging where used) under appropriate agreements, or when required by law.
Data retention and security
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service or as required by law. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information.
